Which radio do you have?

It determines the solution — and the price. Don't worry if you're not sure: a photo of your dashboard is all we need.

Single-DIN radio

The slim slot (about 18 × 5 cm), typical of older cars. Depending on the dashboard, a large display with a fascia or a unit with a pop-out screen will fit.

Double-DIN radio

The double-height slot (about 18 × 10 cm) — ideal: a large touchscreen with a vehicle-specific fascia fits here.

Factory screen

For cars with a factory display (e.g. iDrive, MMI, Comand) we often recommend the original-look interface — or a larger display in the original position.

Display with app features

Some newer systems are prepared for CarPlay. We then check whether there's a cheaper solution — and tell you honestly.

How we check compatibility

Free, without obligation and usually within 24 hours.

  1. Photo & vehicle details

Make, model, year and a photo of the dashboard are enough. Optionally, the type-approval number from your vehicle registration document helps.

  2. Technical check

We check the radio, sound system, CAN bus and any existing cameras and select the display, fascia and adapters.

  3. Honest recommendation

New display or original look? We recommend the solution that suits your car and your budget.

  4. Fixed-price quote

You receive a written quote with a binding price — including pickup and return.

Other makes, vans and youngtimers

Besides the makes listed above, we upgrade many other vehicles, for example Suzuki (Swift, Vitara, SX4, Jimny), Subaru (Forester, Outback, XV), Mazda, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Honda, Mitsubishi, Renault, Peugeot, Citroën, Fiat, Dacia, Jeep and Land Rover.

We also have solutions for campervans, vans and motorhomes — such as the VW T5/T6, Fiat Ducato or Mercedes Sprinter. Find out more under campervans & vans.

And your youngtimer? For classics with a single-DIN slot there are discreet solutions that preserve the character of the cockpit. Talk to us — we look at every car individually.

Common compatibility questions

My car isn't listed — can it still be done?

Very likely. The make and model pages only show a selection. Send us the make, model, year and a photo of the dashboard — we'll check it for free.

For which model years is an upgrade worthwhile?

Typically for cars from around 2000 to 2018. In newer cars CarPlay is often already prepared or can be activated — we check that too and tell you honestly.

What's the difference between single-DIN and double-DIN?

DIN refers to the standard size of the radio slot: single-DIN is about 18 × 5 cm, double-DIN about 18 × 10 cm. A large display fits a double-DIN slot directly; with single-DIN it depends on the dashboard. Many cars also have their own format — that's what vehicle-specific fascias are for.

My car already has factory navigation. Is it still worth it?

Yes, especially then: factory sat navs often have outdated maps and expensive updates. With the original-look interface you get CarPlay and Android Auto on your existing screen — from CHF 790.

Not sure what's in your car?

Just send us a photo of your dashboard via WhatsApp or the form — we'll tell you within 24 hours what's possible.
